Robert Francis "Bobby" Shelton, 56, of Stafford County died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was a member of Canaan's Faith Church of God and was a former partner in Shelton's Towing.
Survivors include his four sons, Tim Shelton and his wife, Cindy, of Stafford, Mike Shelton of Stafford, Tony Shelton and his fiancee, Christine, of King George County and Robert Dale Shelton of Spotsylvania County; two grandchildren, Brooke Shelton and Hunter Shelton; one brother, Donnie Shelton of King George; and his former wife, Violet Connelly of Florida, who was with Mr. Shelton during his last days.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas D. Milliner and Mrs. E.T. "Tick" Bourne officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
